18th Cotton Mill Open Studio & Holiday Sale

The Cotton Mill Open Studio & Holiday Sale returns for its 18th season on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 2-3-4. Once again, this spirited, sensory extravaganza, spread throughout the three floors of the Mill, is sure to provide something for everyone. Attendees will have a chance to browse and shop uniquely crafted items created by local artists and artisans, as well as enjoy dance, circus, and music performances and pottery demonstrations. While traveling from one open studio or market area to another, take a look at the artwork lining the walls of the second and third floors. It celebrates the talents inspired by teachers and artists at BUHS, BAMS, and the River Gallery School of Art.

In addition to the outstanding music scheduled on Friday and Sunday at the Vermont Jazz Center, three days of extraordinary music are scheduled to happen in Daniel Ehrenberg's Aegis Art Work Studio on the 3rd floor of the mill. The lineup of performers is so exciting that you just might want to return each day for continued musical enjoyment. All the performances, except the Vermont Jazz Center's annual fundraiser on Friday evening, are free.

The weekend's festivities will also include an assortment of food and beverage options from Dosa's Kitchen on Friday night, Entera Catering on Saturday and Sunday, and NECCA's scholarship Bake Sale fundraiser throughout the three days.

Volunteers will be on hand to guide attendees around the three floors of the Cotton Mill, operate the elevator for handicap accessibility, and direct them to Building C to observe pottery demonstrations by Stephen Procter and Will Finkel.

Be sure to enter the drawing for a food basket filled with artisans' delights, and consider purchasing raffle tickets for additional items created by participating artists. Raffle winners will be chosen on Sunday at 2:00.
