Home Décor + Book Launch + Art Show

Sweet Spot Style invites everyone to get ready for a book launch like Brattleboro has never seen! Desha Peacock, author of Create the Style You Crave on a Budget You Can Afford, has redesigned the empty downtown storefront at 12 Flat Street using vintage and repurposed furniture, lamps, rugs, and so on, to make a very cool, bohemian scene complete with a record player and a typewriter ... a special Sweet Spot in Brattleboro.

Most items in the space are for sale and are priced with the budget shopper in mind. Visitors are invited to play at the "Manifest Your Dream Home" workshop station to create a collage of their dream home for display. Local art by Sarah Johnson and Daniel Kornguth is on view. Desha and other area contributors to the book -- Robin MacArthur, Suzanne Kingsbury, Juliet Cuming, Susie Belleci, Daniel Kornguth, and photographer Elle James -- will be on hand during Gallery Walk to sign copies of the book.

More About the Book

In this unique and hip home décor style guide, we find inspiration to explore our own sense of style, discover the essence of what makes our home feel good, and learn how to mix vintage, modern, and thrift-store finds to create the eclectic look we want on a thrifty budget. Create the Style You Crave is different from most decorating books. While filled with visual eye candy, it also explores how creatively expressing ourselves in our home and gardens helps us create the life we really want to live.
